Wyken F.C vs DK Diamonds

On Sunday 9th September 2018, a memorial football match took place at Pinley RFC in the memory of our beloved Danny Kennell, who was sadly taken from us on 8th July 2018. Everyone came together to show support for the family. This was organised by two of Daniel's close friends, Ashley Dale-Holmes and Ben Kearney to help get the foundation started.


On Saturday 12th October we brought #YOURCITYSAYSNO to Coventry. On this day more than 40 locations across the country took part in the campaign. This was to remember those who have lost their lives and to promote peace and unity back in the community.

So many families have been torn apart by knife crime. There is an increase in knife crime in Coventry, as the crime activity has already doubled.

The Daniel Kennel Foundation have some amazing news to share ! 

After hours of correspondence and mountains of paperwork, we have finally crossed all the t’s and dotted all the i’s. At last we have been given a charity number so The Daniel Kennell Foundation are now officially a charity! 


Did you know that Coventry is listed as the 7th most dangerous city in Europe by WorldAtlas? An organisation that ranks global demographic and socioeconomic problems across the globe. 


With crime continuing to rise there are many positive groups in the area who want to help people and spread positivity across Coventry. Working alongside The Daniel Kennell Foundation are a number of charities and organisations.


On Sunday 22nd December 2019, The Daniel Kennell Foundation held our very own Christmas Market at Wyken Croft. It was a bittersweet evening, raising money for the foundation and remembering the lives lost to Knife Crime.
