The Daniel Kennell Christmas Market
On Sunday 22nd December 2019, The Daniel Kennell Foundation held our very own Christmas Market at Wyken Croft. It was a bittersweet evening, raising money for the foundation and remembering the lives lost to Knife Crime.
We had amazing artists The Negatives (4 piece rock and pop cover band) to kick start the event and get the crowd going. To follow we had Abz Winter, Gospel Choir, Asha, Caitlin McCarthy, Fridays, Curtis Liburd and Lisa Lashes- The Spoken Word who kept everyone entertained for the duration of the evening, we can’t thank them enough. You are all extremely talented and an inspiration to all. You helped us get our message across beautifully.
As well as all these amazing acts we had our very own Santa’s Grotto which was a great success, all the children loved their gifts from Santa! A massive thank you to Cieran, Hannah, Jazz and Emma who worked the grotto.
Kevin Hargrave generously donated his services as a photographer and captured the event beautifully, thank you so much for attending the event and capturing so many amazing images, if you would like to see more of Kevin’s work click here
Thank you to all the stall holders who were absolutely brilliant and we can’t thank you enough for sticking around even if it was cold! You really helped us bring the event alive. We had arts & crafts (bauble decorating, cake and biscuit decorating and many more!), we had pick a present, tombola and Shan’s cakes, again thank you to everyone that was involved.
Thank you to Karon, Megan, Ben, Jayne, Ruby and Laura who kept everyone well fed and warmed our stomachs up with delicious pork and stuffing batches, warm drinks, pigs in blankets and Waffles.
A big thank you to GYM Intervention and our very own Anton- Twon Alexander Graham for attending the event. They are a service set up to help and support Children & Young People experiencing difficulties in life. This is such a fantastic organisation and they are an inspiration to us all.

A big thank you to Jodie Wilcox for taking photos and putting so much hard work and effort into the foundation we hugely appreciate everything you are doing.
We truly can’t express how grateful we are for every single person who got involved in this event, none of this would have been possible without you. You helped us get the message we need to get across and ensure we succeed in making a #SaferCoventry with your help we will put unity back into the community with your help!
